The State has approved the draft plan that the town formulated last winter. The next step is a public hearing, which will take place at the Board of Commissioners' meeting on May 11, at 6:00 p.m. We have a copy posted on the town's website, and there is a copy at town hall for anyone to view. Budget Timeline. (Repeat message) Our timeline is outlined as follows: • May 27,2010 (General Statute requires submission no later than June 1,2010) - Submission of Fiscal-Year (FY) 2010-2011 Proposed Budget and Budget Message. File copy of F Y 2010-2011 Proposed Budget and Budget Message with clerk, library and media. Call for Public Hearing on FY 2010-2011 Proposed Budget. • June 8, 2010 - Board Meeting. (General Statute requires that governing body must adopt the FY 2010- 2011 Budget no earlier than 10 days after submission and no later than July 1,2010) - Public Hearing on FY 2010-2011 Proposed Budget.
