Here’s a chance to reclaim one-third of your shelves for something other than books, as an interior designer recently suggested. The drive for books will extend through March, and contributions may be delivered to the library at 320 Salter Path Road, just west of the Public Safety Building. The library is open Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. For further information, call 247-4660. The spring used book sale will be held at Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, 201 East Fort Macon Road. On Friday April 1, for Friends of the Library only, hours will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. The general public will be welcomed Saturday April 2, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Most books will sell for $1.00 or less, with some 2010-2011 editions for $5.00, a tremendous bargain. Children’s books, videos, CDs and puzzles will also be available.
