Hunt PKS Easter 1 A VKm J Editoru “The family of John Joseph Fi family and friends for their ki at this sad time Baskets and Bunnies What a great turn out for the Pine Knoll Shores egg hunt again this year at Garner Park. We thrilled to see so many returning faces to find the 2700 eggs hidden (our most ever!) There were three different sections this year to divide the ages, making it easier for the little ones to grab a few eggs, and the sections worked out so well, we’ll do it again next year. The egg hunt has grown in size yet the preparations remain fun and easy due to the wonderful donations from our friends and neighbors. Some of you baked delicious cookies for us for the treat table after the hunt while oth ers hid eggs. We received more candy donations this year than before, which was greatly appreciation by the organiz ers: Jill Cross, Missy Klor and Bonnie Peter. Some people even brought us filled eggs. Just wonderful all in all. The Easter Bunny made an appear ance again this year, which delighted many of the young ones attending, many of whom had their picture taken sitting on the bunny’s knee. Let’s hope for the same wonderful weather next year. 16 The Shoreline I June 2011
