2016 Kayak for the Warriors Events
Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and the generosity of supporters, this year’s
Kayak for the Warriors events were another success. Over 80 participants came down to the
beach for the 5K run and 1-mile fun run/walk. The reception and auctions at the NC Aquarium
were well attended, and everyone enjoyed food donated from local restaurants and members
of the Pine Knoll Shores Garden and Women’s clubs. On Saturday, bikers came out for an
early bike ride, and kayakers and paddleboarders participated
in the signature event. Thanks to all volunteers and especially
to photographers Dan Law, Teresa Stanton-Law, Melissa
Casper and Amy Nelson who captured the events. Also,
thanks to Chris Losack from Swansboro, who provided us
unique views with drone photos for the first time.
