Honor Our A
It is with great honor that the Pine Knoll Shores
Garden Club announces the dedication of
Highway 58 to our military forces.
The Blue Star Memorial Highway marker will be
dedicated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9,
at the corner Highway 58 and Pine Knoll Boulevard.
The dedication of highways to honor veterans
began after WWII, with a New Jersey garden club
creating the first such memorial. Since then the
program has grown nationwide, and now the
Garden Club of Pine Knoll Shores will be dedicating
Highway 58 in Pine KnoU Shores to our armed forces.
The Garden Club will host a wine and cheese
fundraiser in October. Watch for more details.
