Throughout the month of June, the art.gallery at the library will showcase the creativity and artistic abilities of seven students of local artist and teacher Lena Ennis. Each of the students has been under her instruction for three years or more, and she is very proud of the progress they have made in understanding the importance of value, composition and depth of field, regardless of the style of painting they wish to employ. Featured artists include: • Sally Barnes, who has been painting for seven years, is inspired by light and enjoys painting in oil. • Laurie Eudy, a painter for 14 years, is inspired by nature and enjoys painting in oil. • Jackie Ezzard, a painter for 15 years, is inspired by the creative process and favors oil but also works in acrylic and watercolor. • Kathy Foy, who has been painting for seven years or more, favors oil and is inspired by nature and the beautiful place in which we live. • Bill Rogerson, a painter for seven years, favors oil and is inspired by boats and coastal scenes. • Jean Sonberg, a painter for five years who enjoys working in oil and painting things with an unexpected touch, such as local color change, is inspired by the people and the world around her. • Dennise Wolfe, who started painting in high school but didn’t pursue her talent until three years ago, favors oil, enjoys creativity and finds painting relaxing. The showcase will again feature the work of Linda Sadler, a mixed media jew elry artist living in Beaufort. She creates one-of-a-kind jewelry and enjoys reusing vintage items in her pieces to give them a sentimental feel. gifieiy at die poUic leo^lioiii ftxMn 3 to 4 pjn. oil ixidaf. 7^/ease Recede i t 10 The Shoreline I June 2017 0 - ’ - “Girl Fishing” by Jackie Ezzard, “Sunflowers" by Dennise Wolfe, and “MHC Boat” by Bill Rogerson QUALITY CARE FOR INDEPENDEKT LIVING COMPANION & IN'HOME AIDES UP TO 24 HOURS/DAY • WELLNESS • LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING • SHOPPING • MEAL PREP • TRANSPORTATION • Hospice Collaboration Companion & fjiome Care COMPASSION, RESPECT, HOME (2S2) 764-9574 • www.cofnpanlonandhomecare.com 208 Bogue Inlet Dr, Suite E, Emerald Isle, NC 28594
