Oscar Thompson, S 2/C, stationed at
Camp Perry, Va., is home on leave at
this time.
Pvt. Edward E. Rickman, brother of
Mrs. Ray Warner, is at home on fur
lough after spending 28 months in the
South Pacific.
Cpl. Eddie Fergu-son, of Battle Creek,
Mich., has recently been promoted
from private to his present rank.
Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Saunders, of
Riverside Drive, Spray, announce the
marriage of their daughter Gaydell, to
Pfc. Jce Rickman on Wednesday, May
171h.
We welcome Miss Irene Sharp to the
preparation department as timekeeper.
She replaces Mrs. Mildred Saunders
who has been promoted to the office to
replace Mrs. Marion Slayton. Mrs.
Slayton is leaving at once for Palm
Spring-3, Calif., where she will join
her husband, Pfc. George Slayton.
Ronald E. Brown and son, Thomas,
both wish to thank Marshall Field &
Co. for the bonus Thomas received so
promptly when recently inducted into
the Navy. Thomas is stationed at Camp
Perry, Va., and worked at the Woolen
Mill before entering service.
Mrs. Margaret Grogan of the weave
room put one over on us when she and
Carper Stanley of the Bleachery slip
ped over to Roanoke and were mar
ried. Congratulations!

with Margaret “Duffie” Barker.
Miss Daisy Blankinship of Danville,
spent the week-end with Mrs. Livia
Taylor.
Mrs. Ruby Fulcher is a new em
ployee of the Personnel Dept.
Helen Litaker spent the week-end
in Wilson, N. C.
Robert Bunn, Engineering Dept., is
a patient at the Leaksville hospital.
Mrs. Jane Reynolds is recuperating
from an operation at the Leaksville
hospital. Mrs. Jessie Grogan is “pinch-
hitting” while she is out.
Mrs. Donald Storm has returned
from her honeymoon.
Lester Brown is spending a H-day
furlough at home.

hi-3 basic training at Fort Bragg May
6. After spending a ten-day furlough
with his wife on Walnut street, he has
reported to Camp Forest, Tenn., for
further training.
Mrs. Elzie Simpson and daughter.
Margaret, spent Sunday with friends
and relatives in Carolina Heights.
Mrs. Annie Meeks spent last Sun
day in Charlotte, N. C.
Elizabeth Walker is home again af
ter spending several weeks with hus
band “Shike” in La Crosse, Wis.
We were all glad to see Mrs. Esther
Burroughs and Charlotte Martin, who
returned to work last week.
