ImwmI Erery Two Weeks By Md For the Employees STLE MARSHALL FIELD & COMPANY, INC, Manufacturing Division, Spray, North Carolina Volume Three Monday, January 1, 1945 Number Thirteen In olden days it was customary to place lighted candles in win dows to guide weary travelers to a haven of rest and refuge. Here in America the custom still prevails, for in millions of American homes the lighted candles, literally, is always burning, to guide war-weary men and women from the four corners of the earth to the homes they have been, and are, fighting so valiantly to keep free and happy. As the New Year comes in we will place a fresh candle in the win dow with the sincere wish that ere this candle is burned out it will have guided every American man and woman to their homes, flushed with victory and ready to take up the great task of insuring a peace that will mean that their sons and daughters will never take up arms on foreign soil. And to all Marshall Field & Company people, whether in uniform or not, we wish you the happiest and best New Year ever.
