Saturday. We wonder who’ll take the next step? Could it be Wannie Parker? That new sparkler gives us ideas. Recently Mr. and Mrs. Howard Webb and Mae visited Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Webb and Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Hope at Charles ton, W. Va. Pvt. Paul Parker is home on a 15-day furlough after 29 months’ service in India and China. The stork is always busy. Congratu lations to Sgt. and Mrs. Jack Dillon. A son, Edward Norman, arrived Easter Sunday. We’re happy to see Mrs. Cicero Hall back on the job. Word has been received that Sgt. Thomas A. Jones, Fairbanks, Alaska, will report to Fort Meade, Md., for his discharge. Bedspread Mill Rev. and Mrs. Clarence Fargis and Mrs. Betty Vestal attended the State convention of The Church of the Living God at Winston-Salem Saturday. Mrs. Hurley Vestal spent the week end with her mother in Winston-Salem. There will be prayer meeting at Rev. Grover Moore’s on the Reidsville Road Saturday night. Rev. Gert Moore, pastor of the Church of the Living (Sod, will conduct the services. Everybody wel come. I wonder if Bill Smith likes his job? Someone from the Weave room wants to know. What about it, Smitty?? Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Branscomb, of Reidsville, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Smith Sunday. Rebecca Hoover, Iris Ramsey, and Doris Wimbish attended the rodeo at Greensboro Sunday. Jack Blackburn and Josephine Eu banks were quietly married May 2nd at the home of Rev. Mr. Whitley. Morton Beck, our timekeeper, has just returned from his honeymoon. Yes, I think she was a Jones. Orie, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nelson, broke his foot last Saturday. Sonny, don’t you know you can’t pick up a Chevrolet motor. Bill Martin is back after being out some time with a broken arm. Speaking of broken bones, Elaine, how is your broken finger? We all unite in extending our most sincere sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Buckner, in the death cl their daugh ter, Ola Mae Buckner. She was a very sweet girl. Buy ... Sell...
