Mrs. Myrtle Alderman, Mr. and Mrs.
Burton Haynes and Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Martin of Danville, Va., spent a week
end recently at Pinehurst and Sandhills.
Erma Conner has returned to her
home from the Leaksville hospital and
is recovering nicely from her recent
operation.
China Priddy has returned to work
after being out sick for several weeks.

Barham on the arrival of a new son Wil
liam Lovell, Tuesday July i>, at the
Leaksville hospital.
Rose Dent and Ruth Stephens spent
their vacation at Myrtle Beach, S. C.

We were very sorry to lose Coy Pat
terson, who left us to farm. Coy, we

Finishing and Carving Depts.
The Finishing department is going to
miss Mrs. Sallie McCullough, better
known as “Aunt Sallie” and Mr. Joe
Sams who are retiring. “Aunt Sallie”
has been with the company 18 years and
two months. Mr. Sams has been with
the company about three years.
Winnie Easley is out with the mumps.
Mrs. Roy Wilmoth is in the Leaksville
hospital.. We hops that she will soon be
well.
We are glad Jannie Wolf is able to
be back with us after being absent due
to illness.
Mrs. Edna Dalton is the proud grand
mother of a grandson born June 25 to
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Washburn.
At this writing Susie Grogan is out
sick.
Mrs. Margaret Taylor is spending her
vacation with relatives in Mexico, Ind.
Mrs. Ruth Brown and children were
dinner guests of Mrs. Otis Newnam
Sunday.
Miss Elsie Burgess is absent due to
illness.
“Aunt Sally” McCulloch wishes to
thank all of those who had a part in the
gift she received when she retired.

bury spent their vacation with Mrs.

tion with Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Hill at
Martinsville, Va.
We are glad that Oliver Dunivant has
arrived home from Germany and hope
he will soon be back with us.

Hicks and Melvin Orrell during vaca
tion.
Morris Turner, Ed Dallas, Harry Mar
tin and Willie Wilmoth have returned
recently from a fishing trip at Morehead
City. How many fish did you say you
caught???

of the illness of his father.
Patricia Ann Hodges is two years old
and is daughter of Mrs. Massey Hodges
of Karastan Setting Department.
Little Gary Lynn Wade, 15-months-
old son of Houston Wade and the late
Mrs. Hattie McBride Wade, recently
celebrated his birthday with Mr. and
Mrs. W. B. McBride.

Amidst the huge crowd that saw the
pageant of “The Lost Colony” at Man-
teo were Irvis Ferguson, Hazel Wash
burn, Gertrude Shelton, and Frances
Washburn.
Tommie Jenkins, Mrs. Jenkins and
son. Tommy, enjoyed camping near
Christiansburg, Va.
