VOLUME SIX NUMBER EIGHTEEN MONDAY, MARCH 17, 1947 Sign That Insurance Card By March 25th! Employees are urged to sign ac ceptance cards immediately for the revised group insurance plan which is to become effective March 25. The foremen have been supplied with the cards and every employee will be contacted and given an opportunity to sign up. Those who fail to sign h7 March 25 will be without group insurance since the old insurance plan will terminate on that date. The group insurance program is being revised to bring it up-to-date in line with increased wages and general economic .conditions. The proportionate cost to the employee is being reduced somewhat due to the Company’s paying a larger share of the cost. Booklets like the one renroduced at right have been distributed to all employees explaining in detail the revised plan. A letter from H. W. W'hitcomb, divisional vice-pres ident and assistant general mana ger, appearing in the front of the booklet describes the operation of the group insurance plan during the past 14 years and points out that the benefits received by em ployees during that period prove the worth of the insurance. New Cafeteria Work is proceeding on the cafe teria which will be located in the remodeled Eggleston building op posite the General Office. The cafeteria will be operated in con nection with the Y. M. C. A. in somewhat the same way as the canteen service has been run for several years. Plans are to have the cafeteria open for business during the first week in April. The new establish ment will be operated for the Y. M. C. A. by the Slater System of Philadelphia, a concern which specializes in work of this type.
