All mills will resume operations on regular schedule Monday, July 14. Vacation pay will be issued on the regular pay days during the week be ginning June 23. Pay for work performed during the week ending June 29 will be available for employees at each Mill Cashier’s of fice according to the following schedule: from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Wednesday, Ju ly 2, Bleachery, Central Warehouse, Specials, Embroidered Bedspread, Wool en, Finishing, and Rayon; from 10 a.m. |||to 12 noon, Thursday, July 3, Towel, rHosiery, Bedspread, Blanket Sheeting and Karastan. Group insurance premiums will be waived for the weeks ending July 6 and (Continued on Page Two) In order to further familiarize the public with our new name of “Fieldcrest Mills” and to attract greater interest to our communities, it is planned to use some small outdoor sign displays. Some of the displays will be erected on the various mills and others will be placed near the main highway intersections. There will be six road-side displays, • at two intersections near Fieldale, Va., two on Route 29 between Danville and Reidsville, one at Stoneville, and one at Ridgeway, Va. h. C. Store To Close For the purpose of taking in ventory and giving a vacation to store employees, the Employees’ Store will be closed during the mills’ vacation period. The store will be closed from 1 p. m. Saturday, June 28, until 9:15 a. m. Monday, July 14. Cafeteria Will Close During Mills’ Vacation Sunday Service To Begin July 20; Slight Change To Be Made In Hours In view of the'mills’ vacation period, Edward Mallieoall manager, Y. M. C. A. Fieldcrest Cafeteria, has announced that the cafeteria will close after the even ing meal Friday, June 27, and will re open wi(h the,', noon meal Monday, July The managf^r pointed out that effec tive July 14 there will be slight changes in the serving hours. Beginning July 14 the noon meaf will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p. m. instead of from 11:15 a. m. until 1:15 p. m. us was done heretofore. The evening meal will be served from 5 p. -m. until 7 p. m. in stead of from 5:30 p. m. until 7:30 p. m. as was done previously. The cafeteria .will serve Sunday meals starting July 20 and will be open from 12 noon until 2 p. m. and from 5 p. m. until 7 p. rri.
