Cafeteria Will Give
Away Another Turkey
And Ham On Dec. 21
Mrs. Ruth Manley, of the Packaging
Department, Central Warehouse was
winner of the 20-pound roast stuffed
turkey given away as a Thanksgiving
prize by the Y. M. C. A. Fieldcrest cafe
teria. Miss Irene Boone of General Of
fice received the baked Virginia ham
which was given away at the same
■ time. Both winners are regular patrons
at the cafeteria sometimes eating two
meals a day there.
Edward Mallicoat, cafeteria manager,
stated that similar prizes will be given
away on December 21. The drawing
will take place at the cafeteria around
6 p. m. on that date. The first name
drawn will receive the turkey and the
second one drawn will get the ham.
Attention, All Employees
As a special Christmas item the Com
pany is offering to all Fieldcrest em
ployees our first quality Frost King all-
wool blanket at $6.95 each plus sales
tax. The blanket weighs 414 pounds,
size 72" X 90" and is attractively put
up in a Fieldcrest box. This blanket is
being sold at $12.95 in the best retail
stores throughout thh country.
Each employee will be limited to the
purchase of four blankets. The blankets
may be purchased immediately at the
Employees’ Store. In case it is incon
venient for employees to come to the
Store, sample blankets may be seen at
the following locations where orders
will be taken for later delivery:
Draper Personnel Office
Spray Employees’ Store
Leaksville Personnel Office
Fieldale Personnel Office
Orders will be filled according to
Christmas Holiday
Schedule Announced
All the North Carolina and Virginia
mills will close at the end of the third
shift at 7 o’clock Wednesday morning,
December 24 lor the Christmas holi
days. Operations will be resumed Mon
day morning, December 29, with the
third shift going to work at their usual
hour on the preceding night.
The offices will remain open all day
December 24 then will close until Mon
day morning, December 29.
