Bark- meier who has resigned. Dr. Robert T. Hyde, who resigned as medical director at Fieldcrest Mills last week, has entered the Naval Hospital at Portsmouth, Va., for medical care. Mrs. Hyde and the two children have joined the former’s parents in Jackson ville, Fla. Dr. Hyde, who came here a short while ago, is a retired Naval officer, having served for more than three years as a medical officer in World War II, much of the time in oversea theatres of war. Following his naval service he was a plant physician with the aircraft divi sion of General Motors in New Jersey. He subsequently engaged in private practice in Morris Plains, N. J., and at the same time served as medical direc tor for the Victoria Foundation Chil dren’s Heart hospital at Morris Plains and was clinical assistant on the medi cal staff of the Orange Memorial hos pital at Orange, N.
