Annual Banquet Is Held For Staff Of Local Y. M. C. A.’s The annual banquet for the staff of the Tri-City Y. M. C. A.’s was held at the Y. M. C. A. Fieldcrest Cafeteria Sunday, December 21. Thirty-three persons including staff members and their wives and special guests attended. J. K. McConnell, general secretary, was toastmaster. R. Moody Davis, presi dent of the Board of Directors, brought greetings from the Board and extended congratulations to the staff upon the year’s work. Macon F. Miller, cf Fieldcrest Mills, spoke briefly and Luther H. Hodges, general manager of the mills, presented a brief address concerning the Y. M. C. A. in world affairs. Mr. Hodges de scribed a meeting which he attended recently when Eugene Burnett, Nation al Y. M. C. A. president, was the speak er and he passed on some of Mr. Bur nett’s comment on world conditions fol lowing his return from the Orient. Holiday Visitors Fred Freeman of Utica, N. Y., spent the holidays with his nieces, Mrs. Henry Jurgensen, Jr., and Mrs. Stella Reed Ayers. Mrs. Pearl Reed, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jurgensen, Jr., and son, and Fred Free man motored to Eeckley, W.
