: ACTIVITIES OF FIELDCREST FOLKS
General Office
(By Charlotte Thomas)
Looks like the holidays are almost
gone—Gee Whiz! Everyone sure enjoy
ed the Office party Dec. 17-—isn’t that
right Charlie H.???
The exchanging of our gifts on Dec.
23 here in the office was lots of fun.
There were many shocked and amusing
expressions — especially when Ted
Spaugh received his CALENDAR for
the coming year (Esquire?). Mr. Whit
comb made quite a Santa—Masked but
No PILLOW.
Another eligible gone?—Rumors are
that Charlie Boyette is almost captured
—the lucky girl has that sparkler on her
left hand.
Our Folks in the Council Show—Won
der why'Rhuney Patterson didn’t sing
“All I want for Christmas is my two
Front Teeth’’??? Edna Kiser was one of
that SHAPELY Harem. Hilda Grogan’s
daughter, Peggy, was the dancing girl.
VISITING: Mr. and Mrs. Lester Brown

Chatter Vs. Jabber
(By Geraldine Hubbard)
At Last! Everyone has settled down
and is ready for work after all of the
rushing and exciting moments before
and during the holidays. All report that
Santa Claus was very good to them.
Iva Pendleton is happy because her
daughter, Mary Louise, is home from
school for a few days.
Roy Casteen, our canteen man, says
he’s disappointed because none of the
girls came in wearing diamonds Mon
day morning. Maybe he doesn’t know
that Henrietta Atkins got herself a hus
band and we think that is even nicer
than a diamond. She and Francis Mar
tin were married December 23. We wish
for them much success and happiness.
Ernestine Cox has taken up photog
raphy recently. We are wondering
what she will do next. But after all,
that might not be such a bad idea since
certain people have promised to pay
her if she doesn’t show their picture.
Glennice Jones Cox, one of our for
mer employees, paid us a visit a few
days ago. Seemed like old times seeing
her around.
Carolyn Shelton spent the holidays at
her home near Danbury.
Margaret Turman and family have
moved into their home on the Reidsville
road which they recently purchased.
