Stranger Is Identified
In a recent issue we ran the picture
shown here in an effort to identify the
baby in a photo
graph that turned
up in the office
mail. The youngster
is Walter Lee Sim
mons, Jr., two years
old December 21
but who was only
six months old
when the picture
was made. His
grandparents, M r.
and Mrs. S. J. Sim
mons, are employ
ed at the Karastan.
His other grandfather, J. D. Glasgow,
before going out sick was employed in
the Rayon Weave Room and the grand
mother, Mrs. Glasgow, works in the
Electric Blanket Mill.

The Bleachery employees sent Mrs.
Annie Meeks’ daughter, Nancy, who is
a patient in Duke hospital a Sunshine
Box, Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Brim visited the
former’s brother in Christiansburg, over
the week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dallas and
daughter, Faye, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Martin visited Mrs. Claude Carter in
Washington, D. C., last week-end.
Margaret Barton was delightfully
showered in “Pink and Blue” with
many lovely gifts last week by em
ployees in the Sewing Room.

cil audience with songs, skits and panto

In more serious moments, Mr. Car-
roll works in the men’s clothing de
partment at a store in Winston-Salem
and Mr. Heckard is assistant cashier of
the Hood Industrial Bank in the Twin
Cities.
