Girls’ Club Playschool The cooperative playschool' at the Girls’ Club will reopen October 1, with Mrs. Wade Martin continuing as teach er. The playschool is open to all chil dren in the Tri-Cities from three through six years of age. The schedule is from 9 a. m. until 12 o’clock noon, Mondays through Fri days. Dr. McGehee Speaker At Chicago APA Meet Dr. William McGehee, director of per sonnel research and training, is in Chi cago to participate in the annual meet ing of the American Psychological As sociation. He appeared on the program Friday afternoon as member of a panel devoted to “Training Supervisors in Human Relations and Leadership.” He will speak on another panel Tuesday on “What Psychology Can Do for Small Businesses.” Dr. McGehee is a fellow in industrial psychology in the APA and is senior member of the program committee for the division of business and industrial psychology. SAFETY FILM (Continued from Page One) The film was produced by the Com munications Center at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with Edward Freed as director. The movie is sponsored by the Safety Division of the North Carolina Industrial Commission with the cooperation of textile manu facturing companies throughout the state. H. E. Williams, safety director at Fieldcrest Mills, was a member of the advisory group. The synopsis of the picture tells the story of John Duffy, a good workman, a careful driver, a man with a fine wife and family. The only thing wrong with John is that he takes a short cut every day through a zone marked “Danger.” One day when he takes a chance he loses. He is seriously injured. Mr. Williams announced that the film has been booked for Fieldcrest Mills October 17-24. It will be shown to the Central Safety Committee and to plant safety groups. Buy * . .'Selli .
