Sunshine Boys Quartet To Appear Here May 8 Hunt Children By Vera Warrick Mr. and Mrs. Lane Bryant and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Byrd attended the sun rise service at Natural Bridge, Va., Easter Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Hines and children, of Winston-Salem, N. C., visited Mrs. Hines’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Arledge recently. Pvt. and Mrs. Roger Warrick of Fort Dix, New Jersey spent Easter Sunday With their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bryant and Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Warrick. MONDAY, APRIL 28, 1952 The Sunshine Boys Quartet will ap pear in person at the Leaksville armory Thursday evening. May 8, at 7:30 o’clock to present a program of gospel and spir itual singing under sponsorship of Dan River District, Boy Scouts of America. Presentations by local amateur enter tainers will round out a full two-hour program of entertainment. The Sunshine Boys from Atlanta, Georgia, have become well known through their appearances with Wally Fowler and the Oak Ridge Quartet at “all-nite sings” in larger cities through out the South. They have made numer ous recordings and are heard frequently on the radio. Proceeds from the entertainment will be used by the Boy Scouts for improve ments at Camp Cherokee, including construction of a new dining room. JJA This picture shows children of Jeff and Grey Hunt. B. Haynes. Her mother formerly was employed in the Blanket Weave Room and her father at the Woolen Mill. Upper right, Sharon Marie Robbins, 3 1-2 years old, is the daughter of Melvin Robbins of the Bedspread Mill Weave Room. Grandfather, Tom Rob bins, is employed in the Bedspread Card Room. Lower picture, Robert Anthony Kal- 1am, 5 months old when picture was made, is the son of Robert and Edna Kallam, former employees of the Wool en Mill. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kallam, both of the Finishing Mill; and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Haley. Mr. Haley is a retired employee of the Woolen Mill and Mrs. Haley works at Karastan rug mill. Left, Amy Leigh Fulcher, four years old, is the daughter of Nancy B. Fulcher of the Electric Blanket Office, Daddy, J. E. Fulcher, works with Duke Power Company. Right, Jerry D. Webster II, three and a half years old, is the son of Mrs. Margaret Nance Webster and Jerry D. Webster. Margaret works in the Electric Blanket Office and Jerry is with Carol Distributing company for Decca Records. Grohs Children Shown here are Phil, aged four, and Buddy, seven years old, sons of Mr. and rtt Mrs. Carl Grohs, both Qf whom are em ployed in the Electric Blanket Mill. Carl is a second hand in the Pack aging Dept, of the Electric Blanket Mill and his wife, Lucille, is an inspector in the Wiring Dept.
