Miss Sewell Walker, Corpus Christii Texas. PRETTY TREE—Picture above shows a persimmon tree which has become so entwined with a wistaria vine that the blossoms appear to be on the tree itself. The tree is at the home of R. B. Mar lowe in Matrimony Heights, Leaksville. Mr. Marlowe, an employee of the Sheeting Weave Room, is shown under the tree. If you must prepare breakfast hur riedly each morning, save time by put ting margarined bread, covered, in. the refrigerator or other cold place over night. It’s ready to pop into the stove immediately the next morning. Use leftover mashed potatoes in potato cakes. Shape into cakes; roll in flour. Brown on both sides in one to two table spoons of melted margarine. If desired, add a little grated onion or cheese, or chopped cooked meat. Wash your towels in piping hot water unless they are of a delicate color. TeX' tile scientists say that water at 140 de grees F. takes more soil out of cotton materials and removes it faster than does lukewarm water. BOWLING CHAMPIONS—The “Greyhounds” won the championship in the Draper YMCA bowling league in which six teams participated, winning both halves, eliminating the necessity of a tournament. Pictures above show the championship team, members of whom received individual trophies, and other award winners. In the picture at left: Roy T. McCray, secretary. Draper YMCA presents trophy to Winfred Overby, highest single game average, 149 pin®' Billy Gowen received the award for the highest season s average of 110 pins per game.
