Community Club Holds Successful Day Camp The picture above shows participants in the recent Day Camp conducted by the Tri-City Community Club (former ly the Girl’s Club). The camp was under the direction of Miss Grace Gor don who was assisted by Miss Louise Long. The Day Camp was a part of the club’s summer recreation program for girls. Games, songs, crafts, storytelling, homemaking practice, movies, and swimming at the Leaksville Pool com prised the program. Personals Mrs. J. E. Mays of Leaksville was de lightfully surprised Sunday when her relatives met at the home of Burton Gallimore in Hillsville, Va. and gave her a dinner. Her brothers present in cluded John, of Oxford, Pa. Oscar of Blue Field, W. Va. and Walter of Welsh, W. Va. Mrs. Mays received many nice gifts. Attending from Leaksville were Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Adams and grand daughter Toni Lynn, Miss Betty Jean Gallimore, Mrs. James Gallimore and son Michael. Homer Gallimore of the Karastan Weave Room has returned home after spending some time in the Veterans’ Hospital in Durham, Nantucket Notes by Freda Suit Returning from vacation today are Doris Brown, Lucile Ziglar and Pauline Litaker. All three girls say they spent most of their time at home. A belated welcome to Peggy Sapp secretary to Macon P. Miller, replacing Bobbie Dunton who resigned. Peggy formerly worked with Blue Bell in Greensboro. Also welcome ot June Comer in the Physical Testing Lab. J. G. Farrell recently spent two weeks vacation at Virginia Beach. Bowling season is here again and the Nantucket girls are practicing up. All the “Dappers” practiced on the new alleys at Draper Wednesday. Shown enjoying her new TV set is Myron Dale Clifton, 15-year-old daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Clifton of Fiel- dale. Her father is a weaver at the Towel Mill. Myron Dale, a victim of cerebral palsy, was presented the television set by employees of the Hosiery and Towel Mills.
