Rumor Was Not True; Store To Remain Open Misunderstanding concerning the Em ployees Store was cleared up this week when the Company announced that the store is open for business on its regular schedule. Rumors that the store was to be discontinued after November 30 are untrue. Company official said. The rnisunderstanding is believed to have come from a statement by James L. Palmer, president of Marshall Field & Company, who said Field’s would discontinue employee discount privi leges at the retail store in Chicago after November 30. This applies only to Fieldcrest employees who have been buying at a discount at the Chicago re tail store. Mr. Palmer made no refer ence to the Employees Store in Spray. During the period the mills were taking inventory, the Employees Store likewise was closed for inventory in connection with sale of the property. The store re-opened Monday, October 5 and continues to operate on its regular schedule. Directors Are Listed For New Corporation Directors of the newly incorporated Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., which took pos session of the former Marshall Field & Company textile properties October 1, have been announced by Milton C. Mumford, president. The directors, in addition to Mr. Mumford as president of the company, are: F. C. Dumaine, Jr., New England financier and President of the New York, New Haven & Hart ford Railroad; A. B. Hunt, Boston in dustrialist; E. Stanley Klein, New York, Vice President of John P. Maguire & Co., Inc.; John P. Maguire, New York, President of John P. Maguire & Co., Inc.; William B. Snow, Boston banker; Robert G. Stone, Boston financier. In addition to the John P. Maguire and E. Stanley Klein interest previously disclosed, the Amoskeag Company, an investment trust of which Messrs. Du maine, Hunt, Snow and Stone are trus tees, was identified as an owner.
