Number 23 Safety Council Gives Awards To Four Plants The National Safety Council has made awards to four Fieldcrest plants for their excellent safety records. The pre sentations were made by an official of the National Safety Council at the rec ent State Safety Conference in Raleigh. C. P. Wilson, Central Warehouse, T. R. Ray, Electric Blanket, Virgil Hall, Karastan and Ray Warner, Synthetic Fabrics, accepted the awards on behalf of their respective plants at a dinner meeting at the State Safety Conference. Central Warehouse received the Award of Commendation for operating the period October 17, 1951 through December 31, 1953 without a disabling injury, representing 689, 804 man-hours of safe operation. The Electric Blanket Mill also received the Award of Com mendation for working the period from January 1, 1950 through December 31, 1953 without a lost-time accident, rep resenting a total of 907,669 man-hours.
