Members of the Fieldcrest Team THE MIU-WHISTLE Hoyt Gilbert, slasher tender, has an outstanding record at the Towel Mill. He stays with the job, watches it close ly to see that quality work is produced and gets top yardage from his slasher. He gets along well with his associates and maintains a Iriendly, cooperative attitude. Mr. Gilbert has been employed at the Towel Mill since 1925. He has never been off of the payroll during his 32 years with the Company. He worked as a slasher helper for 10 years and has been a slasher tender since March 1935. He is a native of Patrick county. He owns his home on Chestnut street In Fieldale, and has four children. He has a son, J. W. Gilbert, working in the Towel Mill sewing department and two brothers, Turner and Andrew Gilbert, who are employed in the weave room. Kathryn Moore is a biller at the Cen tral Warehouse Office. She operates a large billing machine to type customer invoices and credits for bedspreads, blankets, sheets, pillow cases and com mission finishing. Her work must be accurate, neat and completed on time. Any error would make it necessary to retype the invoice causing extra work and possibly delay in getting the invoice to the customer. By doing a good job, Kathryn and the billers throughout the Company help provide good customer service which is of great importance in a competitive business. Kathryn has been with Fieldcrest since she graduated from Tri-City high school in 1954. She is active in youth choir work and the young people’s department at Spray Baptist church. Her father, L. F. Moore, is retired from the Sheeting Mill and her mother, Bessie, formerly worked at Karastan. ■rJ Issued Every Other Monday For fimployee* and Friends of Fieldcrest Mills. In®"' Spray, N. C.
