teen town at consolidated central Y.M.C.A. IS POPULAR GATHERING PLACE FOR TRI-CITY YOUTH Teen Town... Mecca For Youth Every Friday night of the school year the gymnasium at Consolidated Central Y.M.C.A. is thronged with 150 or more young people who enjoy Teen Town, the social and recrea tional program of the Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y Club of Morehead High School. . The program is supervised by Paul L. Peterson, general secretary, James Black, program and youth secretary, and Miss Joy Wittner, women and girls secretary at the Y.M.C.A. The Leaksville-Spray Woman’s Club and the Leaksville- ® Wilson Mrs. J. B. Reynolds (left) and Mrs. Guy Buckle, and discuss Teen Town program wath Paul L. Peterson, Y.M.C.A. secretary. Spray Junior Woman’s Club are cooperating with the Y.M. C.A. to furnish chaperones each week from among their mem bers. Mrs. J. B. Reynolds is chairman of the Teen Town pro gram for the Woman’s club and Mrs. Guy Buckle heads the program for the Junior Woman’s Club. The accompanying pictures are typical of scenes at the Y.M.C.A. each Friday night as the ‘Y’ seeks to provide super vised recreation in a wholesome atmosphere for the young people of the community. Lively style of dancing: would be too exhausting for most oldsters, but teen-agers greatly enjoy it. Below, Danny King and Pat Colley.
