Young And Old Enjoy Swimming Pool At Fieldale I n I'l EI ^ .N - Most popular place at Fieldale these days is the swimminff pool operated by the Fieldale Comrrmnity Center. The beautiful swimming' pool, in its third sea son, is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the State and attracts large crowds of swimmers on almost every day of the week. Persons of all ages enjoy the pool for swimming, and the adjoining grassy areas for sunning. Lite Suards watching: out of the safety of swimmers are Gary Critz, Miss Virginia Lee Goode and Bobby Rakes. Swimming- instruction will be provided apin this Summer. Registration is under way at present and the classes will commence soon. Jack Stultz, of the Towel Mill, a Red Cross swimming instructor, will conduct the classes with the assistance of other certified swimming instructors. The pool opened for the 1958 season on May 23 and will remain open until September. Swimming hours are: Monday through Friday, 9 a. m. to noon; 1 p. m. to 5 p. m. and 6 p. m. to 10 p. m.; Saturdays, 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. and Sundays, 2 p. m. to 6 p. m. The $40,000 swimming pool was completed in June, 1956, and has since provided summer recreation for Towel Mill employees and their families. The pool was built through the cooperative efforts of the Field ale Community Center. Service Club, Rotary Club and other community groups. By their interest in the safety of employees and their success in enlisting the cooperation of the people of the Towel Mill in their efforts to prevent accidents, the supervisors contribute Srea'ly to the mill’s safety record.
