mills has been substantially completed.
Any employees who have not returned
their pledge cards, should do so as soon
as possible.
The results of the Fieldcrest cam
paign will be announced as soon as the
final figures are available.
Persons On All Shifts
To Have Opportunity
To Obtain X-Rays
Every employee in the North Caro
lina mills will have an opportunity to
obtain a free chest x-ray when the
mobile x-ray unit of the N. C. State
Board of Health visits the mills. The
program is part of a mass chest x-ray
survey being held throughout Rock
ingham county.
As in the past, employees will be re
leased from work long enough to have
an x-ray made. The schedule is arrang
ed so that employees on all three shifts
will be able to get chest x-rays.
A chest x-ray survey is an effective
method of finding tuberculosis and
other chest conditions, such as some
types of heart disease. Early diagnosis
of other chest conditions leads to earl
ier treatment and recovery at less ex
pense and lengthens life.
The work in the North Carolina area
is being sponsored by the Rockinghani
County Commissioners, the Health De-

New Sales Division
Established In West
Fieldcrest, a Division of Fieldcrest
Mills, Inc., effective October 15, estab
lished the Western Sales Division, in
cluding the states of Arizona, California,
Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New
Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and
Wyoming.
W. I. Krohn was appointed manager
of the new division and reports to A. S.
Thompson, Vice-President-Sales.
In addition to his duties as manager
of the new division, Mr. Krohn will
continue as district manager of the
Southern California area. O. D. Petty,
manager of the Los Angeles Warehouse,
David Roos, sales representative in the
Southern California area, and the fol
lowing district managers report to Mr.
Krohn; George D. Stewart, Herbert
M. Bergen, and W. K. Sturrock.
Mr. Stewart continues as district
