NUMBER 11
Children Of All Employees
Invited To Annual Events
Sponsored By Council
Christmas parties for the children of
Fieldcrest employees will be held at
Spray and Fieldale Saturday, Decem
ber 13. The annual events are spon
sored by the Carolina Cooperative
Council.
The party for children of North Caro
lina employees is scheduled for 10 a. m.
in the Morehead High School gymna
sium. Children of Towel mill employees
will attend a party at 2 p. m. in the
Fieldale High School auditorium.
Entertainment at both parties will
be furnished by the famous Charlotte
Boys Choir. The name is misleading
since it is much more than a choir.
It is a top-notch show, comparable to
some of the better acts seen on tele
vision.
The versatile and talented musical
organization has thrilled audiences in
many states with outstanding variety
entertainment.
Santa Claus will be on hand at each
party and will have a treat for each
and every child.
Fred Klein, council president, said,
“We wish to invite the children of all
employees and hope we will have cap
acity crowds at Spray and Fieldale. We
feel that a big party for all Fieldcrest
youngsters is the best thing the coun
cil can do to add to the happiness of
the children at Christmastime.”
Mr. Klein urged employees to tell
their children about the parties and
make arrangements for them to attend.
Employees who wish to accompany
smaller children will be welcomed, he
said.
Notices will be posted on mill bul
letin boards reminding employees of
the children’s parties and stating how
tickets may be obtained.
Credit Union Dividend
A 4% per annum dividend for mem
bers of the Fieldcrest Mills Credit
Union was voted by the Credit Union’s
board of directors at their regular
monthly meeting November 21. The
dividends will be figured on the average
monthly balance and credited to each
member’s share account as of Decem*
ber 31, 1958.
