Included in the group young daughters of several Th ^*'tee /'ii'ior Council executive com- voted to have four meetings, g one social, during the 1959- ontinued on page eight) First Aid Attendants At Mills Will Take Training Courses Courses in first aid, open to all per sons in the Tri-Cities interested in first aid training, will be given September 21-25 under joint sponsorship of the Leaksville-Spray-Draper chapter, Amer ican Red Cross, the Medical Department and the Safety Department at Fieldcrest Mills. Plans are to conduct classes in the standard, advanced and instructor courses. Special emphasis will be given to the duties of first aid attendants. Many of the present first aid attend ants completed the standard course last year and will probably want to enroll for the advanced course. Some of the newer first aid attendants will take the standard course. Instructors will be O. Franklyn Grif- (Continued on page eight) Jim Eanes And His Shenandoah Valley Boys Will Entertain At 2S-Year Club Outing All indications point to a large at tendance at the 17th annual meeting of the Fieldcrest Mills 25-Year Club, which will be held in the form of a picnic in Morehead Stadium Saturday, September 12, starting at 3:30 p. m. Invitations signed by President Harold W. Whitcomb were sent out last week to the 1154 employees eligible to attend. Also sent the club members were a tick et, which will be taken up at the gate and used in the drawing for attendance prizes, and a lapel identification badge, which members are requested to wear to the picnic. R. A. Harris, vice president in charge of manufacturing, will be master of ceremonies. President Harold W. Whitcomb will speak to the veteran em ployees concerning the Company’s op eration and plans for the future. Officers of Fieldcrest Mills and other manage ment officials will attend as guests. The ladies of the Matrimony Grange at Stoneville, under the direction of Mrs. Fred Davis, will serve the picnic supper.
