Choir at earlier shows here have been
exceptionally well received.
The choir is comprised of 80 young
sters, aged nine to 13. Their fast-mov
ing and colorful programs of songs,
dances and specialty numbers have be
come so much in demand through the
Southeast that the leaving of their spec
ial buses to travel and perform has
become almost a weekly occurrence.
Colorful Costumes and Acts
Colorful costumes for each phase of
the show form a splendid background
for the well-trained talent displayed.
The program—laughable, sentimental,
patriotic—features work not only by the
chorus but by soloists, instrumental
ists, tap dancers, and its rapidly mov
ing pace extends from the sidewalks
of New York in the “Gay Nineties” to
the “Wild and Wooly West.”
The choir was started in 1947 and in
the intervening years of fun, hard work
and incessant practice, has been heard
coast-to-coast on CBS and NBC, has ap
peared as guest stars with Vaughn Mon
roe, Spike Jones, and many other out
standing personalities of the stage,
screen, radio and television.
