Several Fieldcresters File
If you live inside the town limits of
Leaksville, Draper or Spray, are 21 years
old and otherwise eligible to vote, you’ll
have an opportunity to help elect the
mayor and commissioners of your town
in the municipal elections May 2.
But, if you live in Leaksville or Spray,
you must re-register in order to vote in
the town election. Both Leaksville and
Spray are having new registrations to
bring their books up to date. No new
registration is being held at Draper.
Leaksville and Spray town officials
emphasized that all old registrations
are void and only those who re-register
will be eligible to vote in the May 2
elections.
The registrar will be st the Leaks-
ville town office from April 8 through
April 22, from 9 a. m. until 5 p. m.

The registrar will be at the town hall
in Spray April 8 through April 22, from
9 a m until 5 p. m. each day except
Sundays to conduct the Spray regis
tration. The registration books will be
open for the registration of new voters
at Draper from April 15 through April
22. The registrar will be at the Draper
town hall from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. both
Saturdays and from 9 a. m. until 5 p. m.,
Monday through Friday.
Each of the three towns will elect
a mayor and five commissioners. A
large number of candidates already
have filed and others were expected
to file prior to the deadline last week
end.
As in the past, the candidates include
a number of Fieldcrest employees, some
seeking re-election, a couple trying for

Draper Drive Opens
The annual membership campaign at
Draper Y.M.C.A. opened April 1 and
continues through April. Robert Stew
art, Draper accountant, is general chair
man. Several Fieldcresters are included
in the large organization of canvassers
who will be contacting the various com
munity groups during the drive.
