MR. AND MRS. JAMES ROBERT DAVIS of Route 2, Ruffin, recently observed
their 50th wedding anniversary and were honored by their children with an open
house reception. The couple had their entire family with them for the occasion, and
more than 150 guests called during the afternoon to congratulate them.
Mr. Davis was employed at the Sheeting Mill for several years before his re
tirement under the Fieldcrest Pension Plan June 1, 1953.

Another Hole-In-One
For Badge Washburn
One might say it was a lucky course,
a lucky foursome, or just plain luck
when Bethel (Badge) Washburn made
a hole-in-one some months ago. Badge,
an electrician at the Finishing Mill,
made the ace at the No. 2 hole at
Lynrock Park golf course. Other mem
bers of the foursome were R. H. Garrett,
Draper Standards; Ralph Pigue, Bleach-
ery; and Delmas (Demp) Robertson,
Finishing Mill.
Badge recently made his second hole-
in-one at the same hole while in the
same foursome except that James Mar
lowe of the Spray Standards Depart
ment was playing instead of Demp Rob
ertson. Then, as if to show it wasn’t
