Martin Honored For Boy Scout Work

Clarence Martin, of the Engineering
Department, has been honored for his
Boy Scout work at the First Methodist
Church in Draper.
Mr. Martin, scoutmaster of Troop 86,
sponsored by the church, and the late
Paul Johnson, of Draper, assistant
scoutmaster, are given recognition on a
bronze plaque which has been placed
in the new Scout Building which was
dedicated on Boy Scout Sunday, Feb
ruary 12.
The plaque expresses the church’s
appreciation for the efforts of the two
Scout leaders in the planning and and
construction of the building. Rev. W.
A. Rock, pastor of the church, present
ed the plaque to Mr. Martin and to Mrs.
Johnson in informal ceremonies Wed
nesday, April 12.
The brick Scout Building was erected
on the church lot and serves as head
quarters for all Boy Scout and Girl
Scout activities at the church.
