Irving Hodges Honored For 40-Year Record Irving Hodges, production scheduler for the Sheeting Mill, completed 40 years of continuous service with the company Tuesday, March 13, and was honored by the management in informal ceremonies on his anniversary date. He was presented with the Fieldcrest diamond-and-gold 40-year emblem, a gift and a letter of commendation from President Harold W. Whitcomb. Help On Income Tax Representatives from the N. C. De partment of Revenue will be in the Tri- Cities this week to assist taxpayers with preparing state income tax returns. The representatives will be here on the following schedule: Leaksvilie Post Of fice, March 19 and 20; Consolidated Central YMCA, March 21 and 22; and at the Draper town hall, March 23. MONDAY, MARCH 19, 1962 A native of Henry County, Virginia, Mr. Hodges has continuous service since March 13, 1922, when he was employed as a beamer at the old Lily Mill. He worked as an assistant foreman in the Beaming Department before he was transferred to the Nantucket Mill as a tie-in machine operator. In 1930 he became assistant foreman of the Dyeing Department which also included slashing and tie-in operations. He was promoted in 1936 to foreman of the Nantucket Cloth Room. When sheet ing operations were consolidated at Draper in 1937 he was named foreman of the Inspecting Department. He sub sequently was promoted to foreman of the Sheeting Weave Room and in 1946 became production scheduler for the Sheeting Mill, in which position he con tinues to serve. IRVING HODGES
