To help make the program effective, employees are encouraged to report to the supervisor any unsafe con dition coming to their attention. The co operation of employees in the elimina tion of such hazards is appreciated. Through June 30 of this year in all of the mills, there had been nine injuries resulting in lost time as compared with eight lost-time injuries for the same period in 1961. Last year was one of the best years in safety in the com pany’s experience. Man-hours for the first six months of 1962 were up some what with the result that the 1962 ac cident frequency rate is close to last year’s very favorable experience. H. E.
