Entertainment in the Fieldale Higrh School auditorium for children of Towel ^Mill employees opened with stunts by Renee and Jim, comic acrobats. They are shown as they performed one of their ladder acts which were greatly enjoyed. A large crowd of children and adults attended the Christmas party for the children of employees of the Towel Mill 111 the Fieldale High School auditorium Fieldale, Va., Saturday, December 15. D. A. Purcell, manager of the Towel ^•11, was master of ceremonies and called on the Rev. E. J. Nottingham, pas tor of Fieldale Methodist Church, for the invocation. He next presented Robert A. Harris, Spray, N. C., vice president in charge manufacturing, Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., 'W'ho brought greetings from the manage ment of the company. Entertainment was by Renee and Jim, poniic acrobats in a high ladder balanc ing act, Alex Houston with Elmer, a '^'-ntriloquist act, and the Daring Chimps, a chimpanzee act. Each part of the show seemed to be greatly enjoyed young and old alike. Santa Claus was assisted by the Towel ^ill supervisors in distributing treats to of the children attending. Antics by the Daring Chimps delighted the youngsters. Renee Daring is shown here with one of the chimpanzees. Mi At Towel Mill children’s party, expressions on the faces of the youngsters show their obvious enjoyment. Adults accompanying small children also enjoyed show. Joyce (Maggie) is employed in the ^tting Department at the Karastan Mill. Monday, January 7, loes Supervisors, other Towel Mill officials helped distribute Christmas stockings.
