Bedspread Weave Has Outstanding Safety Record
Employees of the Bedspread Mill Weave Room have
achieved a record of more than one million man-hours of work
without a lost time injury. Through January 20, 1963, members
of the department had worked a total of 1,021,907 man-hours
since the last disabling injury occurred July 13, 1959.
In commenting on the employees’ outstanding safety per
formance, F. E. Barron, Jr., mill manager, said: “We appreciate
the interest and cooperation of the weave room people in the
prevention of accidents. Their excellent record is due to good
teamwork among all of the employees and supervisors in the
department. We hope that they will continue to practice good
work habits and help us maintain safe working conditions.”
