Summer Activities Attract Girl Scouts Pictured on this page are some of the highlights of the summer activities of the local Girl Scouts and Brownies. The father-daughter picnic, shown in top picture, replaced the former father- daughter banquet and attracted an at tendance of over 200 persons. Other pictures show scenes at Camp Pine-A-Way where a two-week day camp was held for Brownies and Girl Scouts. The camp was held from 9 a. m. until 3 p. m. each day, except that the Intermediates spent one night in tents and cooked their own food out of doors. The campers received Red Cross swimming instruction daily at the Dra per pool. Mrs. Charles E. Moffat was the direc tor of the day camp. 8 Mrs. C. E.
