Employees At Nye-Wait, Mount
Holly And Muscogee Mills Are
Now Covered By Program
The Fieldcrest Mills Pension Plan
has been extended to cover all em
ployees in all locations, including those
in plants recently acquired by Field
crest, according to an announcement
by Harold W. Whitcomb, president of
Fieldcrest Mills, Inc.
The move brings into the Pension
Plan approximately 1,600 additional em
ployees at the Nye-Wait Division, Au
burn, N. Y., merged with Fieldcrest in
1962; the Mount Holly Spinning Mill at
Mount Holly, and Muscogee Mills, Co
lumbus, Ga., both of which were
merged with Fieldcrest in 1963.
In a letter to the employees at these
locations, Mr. Whitcomb expressed the
company’s pleasure in being able to ex
tend the Plan to cover these newer
members of the Fieldcrest organization.
“We are confident that these em
ployees will benefit tremendously from
this program, which provides additional
retirement income for eligible employees
in their retirement years,” he wrote.
A copy of the booklet, “Looking
Ahead,” which shows the benefits and
explains the provisions of the Pension
Plan was sent with Mr. Whitcomb’s

Muscogee Ticking To
Show Sales Increase
The 1964 line of ticking manufactured
by Muscogee Mills, a unit of Fieldcrest
Mills, Inc., in Columbus, Georgia, has
been selected by a greater number of
bedding manufacturers than in any pre
vious year, according to an announce
ment today by G. W. Moore, a vice
president of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. and
president of the Fieldcrest marketing
division.
From early indications, sales of Mus
cogee ticking will show a large increase
in 1964 over past years. Production has
been increased, and the 1965 line will
be ready to present to the trade earlier
than ever before, Mr. Moore said.
The increased interest in Muscogee
ticking is attributed to the new and un
usual styling for which Fieldcrest Mills
is noted.
