In order to see other company oper
ations and meet other members of the
Fieldcrest organization, a group of sup
ervisors and staff persons from the Au
tomatic Blanket Plant at Smithfield, re
cently toured the Spray area mills.
The visitors also toured the General
Offices, the research and quality con
trol laboratories, and visited the Field
crest Store. One member of the group,
Mickey Edwards, data processing super
visor at Smithfield, spent a portion of
his time in the Data Processing Depart
ment at the General Offices.
The Smithfield men were particularly
interested in seeing the Blanket Mill
and Finishing Mill since the automatic
blanket shells used at Smithfield are
