Broadwater, a towel cutter and inspector, was presented a silver tray engraved with the dates 1929-1964 upon her retirement after 35 years of service at Muscogee Mills. The tray was a gift from Mrs. Broad water’s co-workers in the Finishing De partment. The presentation was made by Catherine Whatley. Mrs. Broadwater, a native of Lee County, Alabama, married the late Charlie Broadwater in 1920. She has two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Cress, Fort Hood, Texas, and Mrs. Doris Whiting, Columbus, Georgia, and seven grand children. Mrs. Broadwater attends Emanuel Baptist Church, Phenix City, Alabama.
