Fieldcrest Employees To Share
In Community-Wide Effort To
Save Tri-City Blood Program
Fieldcresters will have an opportunity
to participate in “Operation Rescue”—
a community-wide effort to save the
Tri-City Blood Program and assure its
continuance for the benefit of the peo

The Tri-City community is on notice
to increase its blood collections to match
the amount of blood being used for lo

losing the program entirely.
To give the area an opportiuiity to
eliminate its deficit in blood donations,
a special make-up visit by the Blood-

Rescue Squad building on the Spray-
Draper Road from 11 a. m. until 5 p. m.
The goal for “Operation Rescue" ’is
250 pints, which will a little more than
wipe out the long-standing deficit in
blood collections here. An intensive
donor recruitment campaign is being
conducted throughout the Tri-Cities and
surrounding areas and special efforts
are being made to obtain a large num
ber of first-time donors.
Haven Newton, co-chairman of the
local Blood Program, said employees in
all Fieldcrest plants and offices in the
Leaksville-Spray-Draper area will be
contacted and invited to donate a pint
