J. M. Moore presents prizes to winners in Greenville safety slogan contest. Prizes Awarded Slogan Winners In the recent company-wide safety slogan contest, a total of 58 slogans were submitted by employees at the Karastan Spinning Division. By coincidence, the first slogan en tered at Greenville was the winner of first place in the plant competition. This slogan was “Inside, Outside, Be On The Safe Side”, submitted by Lendyser Stancill, an employee of the Carding Department. The winner of second place was Elsie McLawhom, a spinner. Her slogan was “Safety Is Like Air; You Need It Every where.” The third place winner was Cora Grubbs, also a spinner, whose slo gan was “Safety Doesn’t Cost Any thing Until You Forget It”. Prizes awarded in the mill contest at Greenville were: first, $15.00; second, $10.00; and third, $5.00.
