spray Area Children’s Party f The annual children’s Christmas party sponsored by the company pi" the children of employees in the Tri-City area attracted a large at- ^^ndance Saturday afternoon, December 19, in the Morehead High '^hool auditorium. Spray. Haven H. Newton, acting director of industrial relations, was master ceremonies and called on the Rev. J. K. McConnell, industrial chap- j for the invocation. Mr. Newton then presented Robert A. Harris, ice president, manufacturing, who made a brief talk in which he ex- '-ended greetings from the general management of the company. 1 Entertainment was furnished by the Old Rebel and Pecos Pete, well- ;^^own television personalities from Station WMFY-TV in Greensboro, fleir show consisting of music, magic, rope tricks and sharpshooting, much enjoyed by the youngsters. -^t the close of the program Santa Claus made his appearance and “'"eeted the children. Mill superintendents and foremen from the vari- mills assisted Santa Claus in handing out treats to the children. , I^ictures on this page show scenes during the party. Similar parties held for the children of employees at the other plant locations.
