> -iir BEACH TOWEL DISPLAY — Window display at Fieldcrest Store, Spray, fea tures seven styles of beach towels in a setting: of palm trees, nets, driftwood, sand and shells. Mannequin displays beachwear fashioned from a Bossanova beach towel. The window was arranged by John B. Buckner, Jr., assistant manager of the store. Customer admiring the display is Mrs. Phyllis Goodman, of 3912 Beverly Hills Drive, High Point. Dr. McGehee said the committed found it extremely difficult to choos® from the large number of applicants, the majority of whom were exceptioij' ally well qualified. Hiram Sta^' ley, public member; and James O’Neal, Muscogee personnel manage . secretary. Credit Union? Just what is a credit union? Is it a credit bureau? A small loan company? No, a credit union is first a common bond of association among people such as yourself and the other employees of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc. Secondly, it teaches you the wise use of “credit.” In addition to loaning money to members at low rates of interest, credit unions also provide a con venient and safe place at which to save. Moreover, they teach the habits of thrift, or the wise man agement of one’s total resources. HERBERT SHOCKLEY Greenville Fish Story Lonnie Eastwood, night watchman at the Karastan Spinning Division, Green ville, since 1951, claims a record catch of a 16-pound channel bass taken from the Tar River. Verification of this catch was difficult to obtain, since he also claims that the bait he used was a 4 - pound grasshopper. All inquiries should be directed to Mr. Eastwood.
