Muscogee Supervisors Manage Winning Team Two members of the management personnel at the Muscogee Mill, Colum bus, Ga., guided the Blue Jays of the Eastern Little League to the league In Air Force championship in the recent competition at Columbus. They were Henry Childress, foreman of the Dressing Department, and Ray- Moss, assistant foreman in the Carding and Spinning Department. Mr. Childress and Mr. Moss have been selected as managers for the East ern League All-Stars. This group, though a succession of victories in the forthcoming city and state tournaments, could proceed to the National Little League World Series to be held in Pennsylvania. The Eastern League was composed of approximately 325 boys and was cen tered in the Edgewood section of Colum bus. The Blue Jays represented their league in a city team championship tourney and made an excellent showing. Three members of the team were se lected for competition in the All-Star Tournament. These boys were Mark Eberhard, Mike Logan, and Verlin Per ry. Mr. Childress noted that there were approximately 2,000 boys playing Little League baseball in the Columbus area. Gary Dow Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis L. Jenkins of Ridgeway, Va. recently enlisted in the Air Force and is receiving basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. He plans to enter the field of electronics. Gary is a 1965 graduate of Drewry Mason High School and is married to the former Judy Moore. His father is a filling twister tender at the Bedspread Mill, Leaksville.
