Textile Industry Pays $711 Million In Taxes The textile industry paid an es timated $711,178,020 in taxes dur ing 1966, according to a survey made by the American Textile Manufacturers Institute. The ATMI said that, of the total, $571,040,000 was paid in federal taxes, $84,448,540 in state taxes and $55,689,480 in local taxes.
