The Sheet Finishing employees made 124 percent of their quota for 1968, the only mill to make its quota. The certificate, which has been framed and is hanging in the office area, was presented to the mill and accepted for the employees by Mr. Galloway at the annual meeting of the Eden Chapter of the Red Cross. Mrs. Thornton, Ed Ewing, director of the “Panorama” program; and Doug Higgins, photographer for Channel 7, had earlier spent a day at Karastan and photographed the main operations as they were given a guided tour of the mill. Fieldcrest’s Karastan Rug Mill has achieved world-renown for its original product line of oriental-design rugs and for pioneering in styling and color lead ership in the rug and carpet industry. MASTERN FULLER Mastern Fuller Cited As ‘Most Outstanding’ Mastern Fuller, of Fieldale, manager- mill accounting, towels and bedspreads, placed first in the outstanding member competition of the Piedmont Chapter, National Association of Accountants during the past program year. This competition is scored on points awarded for organizational activities, perfect attendance and new members. Mr. Fuller, who has been a member of the chapter for only a year and a half, received a total of 875 points, 100 ahead of the second-place member. He had a perfect attendance record for the 1968- 69 meetings.
