E. Simons, manufacturing super intendent, was the master of ceremonies and presented the new members. G. L- Caraway, warehousing superintendent, extended the welcome and recognized special guests. Those becoming eligible for the 25- Year Club this year are; Robert L. Car michael, Virginia Carmichael, James R. Graham, Opal S. Hall, Homer H. Harris, Clarence R. Hopkins, C. Ralph Hubbard, Margaret L. Hundley, Ernestine Hutch inson, Margaret McAlexander, Lela E. Moran, Helen A. Plasters, Benton Spen cer, Margaret H. Tuggle, Irey L. Turner, Gertrude G. Watkins, Raymond L. Wil liams and Nellie W. Woodward. “Virginia Partners” Entertain Following entertainment by the “Vir ginia Partners”, a string band led by Troy Brammer, a former employee of the mill, a number of attendance prizes were awarded. Towel sets were won by the follow ing: Bob Lee Eanes, Homer McAlex ander and Robert Jamerson. J. Frank Wilson, retired production manager of the mills, was recognized as the oldest member present, 85, and was presented a towel set. In a contest to guess closest to the amount of money in a half-gallon jar, E. H. Copeland was the winner. He guessed $237.50 and the jar contained $234.38. Elder J. Bruce Clifton, of the Weave Room, gave the invocation that preceded the picnic supper. Asha Kirpalani and Vickie Clemm®’’ Native Of India Tours Mount Holly Spinning Asha Kirpalani was a recent visitor the Mount Holly Spinning Mill in . Holly. Miss Kirpalani is a native of 1 dia and now lives in Hong Kong. Clemmer, an accounting clerk at Holly, took Miss Kirpalani on a tour the mill. Mrs. Kathryn Clemmer of Charlotj Vickie Clemmer’s sister-in-law. Miss Kirpalani have been pen pals ¥ - - - - a il> eight years, and Miss Kirpalani Charlotte to meet her and included r visit to Mount Holly on her trip.
