D. M. TRACY Two Named Corporate Vice Presidents G. William Moore, president of Field- crest Mills, Inc., has announced the promotion of two vice presidents elect ed by the board of directors Monday, March 2. Hugh A. Brown, Jr., was elected a vice president of the corporation and director of merchandising in the Field- crest Marketing Division. David M. Tracy was elected a vice president of the corporation and director of sales in the Fieldcrest Marketing Division. Mr. Brown joined Fieldcrest Mills in 1954 as manager of the Tbwel Sales Department. In that capacity his re sponsibilities included sales for the Fieldale Towel Mill, the bath fashions area, and later the sales of the Colum bus Towel Mill as well. He became , division vice president-merchahdising in the Fieldcrest Marketing Division in January, 1966. Mr. Tracy joined the Fieldcrest do mestics sales staff in 1948 and shortly thereafter was named sales representa tive on the West Coast. In December, 1955, he became assistant sales manager, in New York, and served until January, 1960, when he was appointed Eastern sales manager. He was named a division vice president and assistant general sales manager in January, 1966, and in January, 1967, became general sales manager. Value Of Scholarships Increased To $4,000 The Fieldcrest Foundation has in creased the value of Fieldcrest Scholar ships to $4,000, reflecting the mount ing cost of obtaining a college educa tion. The scholarships are disbursed at the rate of $1,000 per year for each of the four years that the recipient is attend ing college. The scholarships formerly were worth $3,200 over the four-year period. The Fieldcrest Scholarship Commit tee is at present accepting applications for scholarships to be given to help employees or children of employees in obtaining a college education. Individuals who wish to be consider ed for the scholarship must submit an application in writing prior to April 1, 1970, to the Scholarship Committee. Awards of the scholarships will be an nounced by June 1, 1970. An application form may be obtained from the area personnel managers, the mill personnel offices, or by calling at the Employment Office of Fieldcrest Mills, Inc., in the General Offices build ing in Eden.
